Contestants race to eat 5,000 calories in 15 minutes or less, with the fastest winners qualifying to compete in our 2026 Main Event where competitors will race for $5,000 in cash prizes.
The top 8 finishers across the country will be awarded entry into our 5K Main Event. The Main Event will be hosted in Colorado on January 10th, 2026 — this is where contestants will have the chance to compete against other qualifying winners to race for $5000 in cash prizes.

Our old challenge, 3 Whole Fat Shack sandwiches in 30 minutes or less, will officially be retired once the new 5K Challenge is live.
Competitors that sign up for local qualifying rounds will compete against the clock! While the Challenge is focused on attempting to eat the food in under 15 minutes, qualifying rounds are about finishing Challenge the fastest. The top 8 finishers across all locations will be awarded entry into our 5K Main Event. The Main Event is where they will have the chance to compete against other qualifying winners to race for $5000 in cash prizes.
The only way to enter our 2026 Main Event and have a chance to compete for $5,000 in cash prizes is to complete the Challenge (adhering to all the rules listed in the Official Rules and Waiver) at one of our qualifying race challenges during the month of November held at your local participating Fat Shack.
The Main Event eating competition will be hosted at our Fort Collins, CO location on Saturday January 10th, 2026 at 2PM MT
We will be collecting the contact information for all finishers at all qualifying rounds. If any of the Top 8 finishers cannot attend the Main Event, then we will extend invitations to the next fastest finishers.
